Portraits and Memories of Immigrant
Finding Home celebrates people from other countries who resettled in New Hampshire. Photographer Becky Field transcribed memories of 40 immigrants of their journeys to find a new home. Their stories and her photographs show the vitality of cultural diversity in our communities. The book has won EIGHT awards, including the 2021 “Outstanding Work of Non-Fiction” from the NH Writers’ Project !
Different Roots, Common Dreams Scholarship Fund
A former university professor, NH photographer Becky Field saw the strong emphasis on education in immigrant families. In 2017 she partnered with NH Charitable Foundation to start the Different Roots, Common Dreams Scholarship Fund to help NH immigrants gain a bachelor’s degree. Since then, several students have benefited from the generosity of many donors who helped the scholarship grow.
